The Scottish Aesthetic Conference 2024

Over 200 dentists, doctors and nurses travelled from all over Scotland to attend the 2nd year of this professional development event, bringing together the Scottish medical aesthetics community.

The conference saw presentations from key opinion leaders, leading industry experts & practitioners, covering a whole range of clinical and business aspects. The conference provided a super opportunity to network with other delegates and chat with leading aesthetic product & service providers in the dedicated exhibition hall.

About Scottish Aesthetic Conference 2024

This year delegates had the option to see presentations in the main hall or attend breakout sessions, which focussed on the business-side of working in aesthetics.

A wide range of topics were covered, from creating the perfect chin and jawline, facial anatomy, lips and periorbital area, 8-point lift, polynucleotides, complications to digital marketing, thriving in business and minimising medical claims – and much more!!

Allergan Aesthetics, Vivacy, Inmode and Cutera were the headline sponsors and were joined by 40 other leading industry brands in the exhibitor hall.

Speakers included Dr Nestor Demosthenous (who also chaired the event), Dr Heather Muir, Professor Paul Rea, Dr Zunaid Alli, Mr Taimur Shoaib, Dr Rashpal Singh, Rick O’Neill, Dr Caroline, Steele, Dr Patrick Treacy, Frances Turner Traill, Dr Kaly Jaff, Dr Cormac Convery, Dr Melanie Young, Lizzie Thomson, Linda Craddock, Dr Alison Wood, Natalie McCartney, Cara Docherty and Sieuming Ng.

The conference was organised by Inspired Cosmetic Training, the longest established doctor-led training academy in Scotland. Director Carolyn Fraser and her team aimed to bring practitioners together to network, learn and to be inspired!

How Did It Go?

Carolyn said “We were thrilled with how the event went this year. We wanted to make it bigger and better than 2023, offering more variety to our delegates, to give them the best learning experience possible as well as an enjoyable day…and we’ll be doing the same in 2025!

One new aspect was the Rising Star of the Year Award, made to highlight emerging talent in the industry, which was awarded to Dr Risha Davda at the end of the day.

Dr Caroline Steele, Founder and Director of Frown Docs, said, “Today has been an amazing day. We’ve has so many world class speakers and the content has been phenomenal. We’ve learned so much and it’s such a great opportunity to network, not just with our own peers but with all the amazing suppliers who have been here today. I’ve really enjoyed meeting all these wonderful people and I look forward to doing it again next year”
