How To Get More Customers For Your Medical Aesthetic Business

If you’re running a medical aesthetic business and wondering how to get more customers, you’re not alone. While social media is powerful, there’s an even more powerful strategy that many overlook—and it can be a total game changer.

Building local partnerships.

That’s right! Connecting with other businesses in your local area can bring in high-quality, loyal customers who trust you before they even walk through your door.

Why Local Partnerships Work

• They introduce you to warm leads—potential clients who already trust the businesses you partner with.
• They build long-term credibility in your local area.
• They’re cost-effective compared to digital ads.
• They help you grow through community support, not just social media algorithms.

This doesn’t mean you should stop posting online (please don’t!), but adding local collaboration to your strategy can massively boost your reach and revenue.

Tried Before and Struggled Building Partnerships?

Maybe you’ve tried to connect with other businesses and got nowhere. Or maybe you’re just starting out in aesthetics and the thought of knocking on doors makes your stomach flip.

That’s why we’ve created a simple, 4-week step-by-step plan to help you build great, profitable local partnerships and we’ve even included a template of what to email or say on the phone!

Your 4-Week Plan to Build Local Partnerships

Week 1: Do Your Homework

Start by researching your local area for businesses that align with your services e.g.:

• Hair & beauty salons
• Nail bars & lash studios
• Wellness centres & gyms
• Wedding dress shops & bridal boutiques
• Makeup artists
• Menopause clinics or women’s health professionals
• Local charities or events

Tip: Look for businesses that share your ideal customer. Think about how your services (e.g., Botox, dermal fillers, skin rejuvenation, menopause support, etc.) can benefit their clients.

Prepare a short intro pack with:

• Your services
• Your vision for collaboration
• How you both benefit

Week 2: Reach Out Warmly

Now it’s time to say hello! Best strategy is always by phone, but if that is difficult, we have an email template for you to use! Choose a friendly, professional approach:

Call or DM:

Start the conversation with a warm message. Here’s a sample script you can adapt:

“Hi, I’m [Your Name] from [Your Clinic Name] and where your based, I love what you’re doing at [Their Business Name], and I think we could do something really exciting together! I’d love to pop by and chat for 10 minutes about how we can collaborate—would that be okay?”

Here is an email template you could use to get you started!

Hi [First Name],

I hope you’re well! My name is [Your Name], and I’m the founder of [Your Business Name], a local medical aesthetics clinic in [Your Location].

I’ve been following your business for a while and absolutely love what you’re doing at [Their Business Name]. I think there’s a really exciting opportunity for us to collaborate in a way that benefits both our clients and our businesses.

I’m reaching out because I’m currently building a small network of trusted local professionals—salons, wellness experts, bridal boutiques, and other amazing services—so we can support one another and offer even more value to our clients.

Here are a few ways we might work together:

• Cross-referrals between our client bases
• Exclusive joint promotions or events
• Featured social media shoutouts or giveaways
• Skin education sessions or pop-up events at your location

Would you be open to a quick 10–15-minute chat sometime this week or next? I’d love to hear more about your business and share some ideas.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Warm regards,

[Your Full Name]
[Your Title, e.g., Founder | Advanced Aesthetic Practitioner]
[Your Clinic Name]
[Phone Number]
[Email Address]
[Instagram/Facebook Handle]
[Website URL]

📧 Follow up with a second email once you have a response:

Thank them for the chat and share more about your clinic and your enthusiasm for the potential partnership.

Week 3: Meet & Collaborate

What to talk about at your meeting:

• How your services complement theirs
• Referral schemes
• Co-hosted events or open days
• Cross-promotions on social media

If the meeting goes well, great! Suggest a plan of action and follow up with a clear email summary.

If it didn’t click—don’t stress! Move on to the next contact. Not everyone will be the right fit, and that’s okay.

Week 4: Launch & Grow

You’ve done the hard part—now it’s time to make it real.

Here’s what to do:

• Agree on how you’ll refer clients to each other
• Cross-promote on social media (shoutouts, reels, tags, etc.)
• Plan a launch event or offer to get the ball rolling
• Collect testimonials and photos to share online
• Celebrate your partnership success!
