The 25th of March marked a special day, The Scottish Aesthetic Conference 2023 organised by Inspired Cosmetic Training. Scotland has not seen an aesthetic conference for medical aesthetic professionals for quite some, and this one was open to all levels. With 170 delegates registered for the biggest Aesthetic conference of the year in Scotland it did not disappoint!
The day was the day filled with incredible speakers, with topics ranging from how to get started in aesthetics, clinical updates, business updates, regulations & much more– truly something for everyone! Here’s a quick run-down of what you missed:
- Julia Ogilvie gave a recap on Lips
- Frances Turner Traill discussed the Evolution in Neuromodulators.
- Miriam Martinez Callejas, Victoria Dobbie and Caroline Steele each gave a lighting talk on Personalised Skin Care, the Latest Thread Techniques and the Morpheus8 Movement.
- Next up we had Kris Trinity’s 10 Secrets on How to Double Your Sales & Attract High-Spending Clients
- Dr Kieren Bong then presented on Rejuvenation of the Midface with Injectables
- Followed by Dr Cormac Convery on What to Do When Things Go Pear-Shaped
- Michelle McLean shared her top tips on How to Make Paperwork/Admin Easier
- After a brilliant day we ended with a panel made up of Kevin Freeman-Ferguson, Andrew Rankin, Dr Alison Wood and our course our wonderful chair Dr Nestor Demosthenous, talking all things Scottish Aesthetics

These engaging speakers were not the only attraction of the day. 30 exhibitors joined us, creating a vibrant exhibitor hall for delegates to find out about the latest product info, explore and network. With many travelling up from throughout Scotland and even England it was a great opportunity for our delegates to make connections and chat with others.

For those beginning their aesthetics journey, or even just thinking about it, the conference hosted a breakout session filled with tops tips of how to get started by our wonderful speakers Tash Petrie and Hannah Jackman.

Inspired Cosmetic Training took the opportunity to truly test how steady the hands of our aesthetic workers are with a buzz wire (you’re in safe hands!).There was also a lucky winner of a bottle of champagne and flowers for the person who found the winning Tunnock’s Teacake
Overall, it was a wonderful day, which we hope inspired people to get involved with aesthetics and continue to build on the connections within the community! A final thank you to all of our incredible speakers and exhibitors who made the day such a success.
