Most of us especially at the start of our aesthetic career have a fear of posting on social media, there’s even a name for it!
Visiobibliophobia an anxiety disorder that was first described by neuroscientist Justin Moretto a social anxiety no matter where you are posting on social media.
- Your worried about not saying the right things.
- Worried that you think you are not expert enough.
- Worried about what you look like, your hairs not right, you hate listening to your voice.
So what can you do to get over this fear?
One way I think of it is to turn it round and say to myself if I don’t post on social media how do I get my brand out there? I keep telling myself when I am having to do a video or another social media post this is really important to the business.
Let’s try and put this fear to the side, put it in a box.
What you need to do is pretend you have that have more confidence that you might think you have, if you start imagining this you can then build on it, at the start it’s going to be really hard but eventually it will become more natural to you and your aesthetic business will reap in the benefits.
Bite the bullet and keep posting often, keep doing short 30 sec videos you can film them on your mobile and go for it!!!
