During these uncertain times, the Inspired Cosmetic Training team thought we could provide some helpful tips and information for those within the Aesthetics Industry having to close clinics and suspend their services.
How you can sustain a small Income
Offer your time and services to NHS
The NHS are under extreme pressures during this difficult time and are encouraging medical professionals to re-join the register and offer their help. You can find out more information about re-joining the register here: https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus—returning-to-registered-professional-practice-guidance/pages/questions-and-answers/
If your aesthetic business is a part-time venture, you could offer your knowledge, skills and time to helping the NHS service during this period.
Continue to Take Bookings
Although you might not be able to provide your services at this current time, encourage customers to book appointments in advance to your re-opening.
You could offer split payment plans, allowing customers to pay for their treatments in instalments. This will financially help both yourself and your customers.
Selling Products Online
Use your online platform to sell any skin care or after care products you would offer from your clinic. Customers can continue to purchase their favourite products online and have them delivered to their door.
Marketing
Use this time to build your online presence and develop marketing ideas. Stay engaged with your current customers and target new markets and potential customers. This will build your customer base and increase sales once you re-open!
How you can reduce your outgoings
Rent
Speak with your landlord and discuss options that suit both parties. Consider deals on reducing rent/postponing payments.
Suspend Non-Essential Payments
Go through your monthly out-goings and suspend any non-essential business payments, where you can.
Government Relief
The Scottish Government have made changes to Business rates for 2020-21 and are advising businesses struggling to pay their non-domestic rates bill, to contact their local council to discuss payment options. https://www.mygov.scot/non-domestic-rates-coronavirus/
