Welcome To Our Blog

Finding Patients For Your Aesthetic Business

Probably one of the hardest things at the start of any new aesthetics business is getting your first patients!

In this blog, I am going to show you how we’ve been helping Jade Cattan market her business “Jade Aesthetics”. Jades decided to set up her aesthetic business based out of the Glen Clinic on Glasgow’s. southside which can be hired hourly and is HIS registered.

Website

I would say a website is essential for any business nowadays, if you have limited funds go for a template website such as Godaddy or a Wix website and best of all there easy to use you don’t need to be a programmer!

You’ll probably want 4-5 page website to begin with, make sure on your homepage you have a book now button and telephone numbers as well as on your contact page and less is always best in terms of text. In all our promotional material make sure you keep within the rules of what you can say about Botox.

Google My Business

Once you have your aesthetic business started you’ll want to do a Google Business Profile which helps to ensure that people find your business when looking for products and services like yours in their local area and best of all it’s free!

Social Media

You’ll want to sort yourself out with a business Facebook page, Instagram for defiantly to start with, if you find Facebook isn’t working to begin with, keep at it, conversational tone works best, mixing with an educational post and a funny post once a week.

Promote your aesthetic business other ways…

Flyers

You can’t rely on just a website and social media, you want a mix of things. A cost effective way is to get a flyer designed and printed, pin point some local businesses where your target market will be. Jade took her flyers to the local hairdresser, beautician, wedding dress shop, contradeals can be offered such as if they display your flyer then you can display there’s, you can do a refer a person and a discount off certain treatments. A good idea is to do a follow up call within a week to thank the businesses for displaying your leaflets and to see how it’s been going. It can be a bit daunting going round local businesses but keep thinking of getting patients!

Open Evening / Day

One of the best ways to promote your service is to hold a open event. Jades planning an opening evening in the clinic, and that’s where the businesses where you handed off the flyers come in handy, you could offer these people the opportunity of some free treatment as a demo model, have some nibbles and a wee talk at the start. You don5 want to make it too long about an hour and 30 mins is enough time and remember to team up with a skin care company etc where you might get some free bags and samples and don’t forget to do a money voucher for the bags too. Remember to get attendees email and phone numbers, ask permission re data protection rules!

We’ve also suggested to Jade she gets in touch with the local tennis club, speaks to the person who looks after social events and see’s if they might be interested in a beauty evening for their members, you could do a talk, demo, goodie bag and team up with say the local dress shop, jewellery shop etc as this would increase the pull of people attending likewise you could sell the idea to the tennis club as being a great way to increase their members too. If you don’t have a local tennis club you might try the local golf club if they have a strong ladies section, so a few ideas there for you!

We want to help you get started after your Botox and dermal filler training and you’ll find throughout the year we offer free webinars on business and clinical aspects, we help give you suggestions and advice on starting and growing your business and we even have website and social media starter packages at very discounted prices too (click here).
