Medical malpractice insurance is designed to protect you, the practitioner, against allegations of malpractice and negligence whilst administering aesthetic treatments. Without adequate cover, you will be left to defend any allegations personally, which could incur significant legal costs.
Why is insurance important to your business?
• It is a legal contract between you and the insurance company to protect you
• Cover and support in the event of a claim being made against you
• Protection and peace of mind for you and your clients
• Full representation and support from your insurance broker

1. Talk to your insurance provider as soon as you have been notified of a dissatisfaction
2. Do not admit liability
3. Remain calm and don’t put your head in the sand
4. Never offer a refund or a complimentary treatment without asking your insurance provider first
5. Don’t take it too personally
6. Choose your patient carefully
7. Understand motivations and manage patient expectations
8. Document everything
