This dedicated course on hand injectable rejuvenation is the first of its kind in Scotland and allows you to train with the very best - Mr Lorenzo Garagnani; a world-renowned expert hand surgeon who will deliver all teaching and supervise the hands-on training. 

About The Course: 

Dr Lorenzo has developed anatomically based hand injection techniques for hand rejuvenation procedures using dermal fillers and skin boosters, based on a cadaveric study and over 20 years’ experience as a hand surgeon.

Dr Lorenzo will provide you with the knowledge to safely and competently rejuvenate your patients’ hands.

The course includes theory of hand rejuvenation injection, anatomy, risks, complications & aftercare.

Dr Lorenzo will perform a demonstration and then you will have an opportunity for your own “hands on” practical on a model.

You will also be provided with marketing information so you can start offering these treatments to your patients right away and boosting your income!!

Learning Objectives: 

This course will provide you with -

- An understanding of the background and relevant anatomical principles for more effective and

safer aesthetic injection techniques in the hand.

- An understanding of the Anatomically Based (AB) injection techniques in the hand for dermal

fillers (FAB technique) and skin boosters (BAB technique).

- “Hand’s on” practical session on dermal filler and skin booster injections procedures in the hand with the AB (FAB and BAB) injection techniques.

-How to market hand rejuvenation treatments successfully

About Your Course Tutor:

Dr Lorenzo Garagnani is a renowned international expert on diagnosis, treatment of hand and wrist disorders and a pioneer of safer anatomically based techniques for non-surgical hand rejuvenation.

Having qualified in Medicine and Surgery, obtaining a master’s degree with Distinction, Mr Garagnani subsequently specialised in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Bologna (Italy) where he trained at the world-renowned Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute. He completed his advanced training in adult and paediatric Hand & Wrist Surgery in the UK.

As a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England he holds the European Diploma in Hand Surgery as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic & Wellness Medicine. In addition, he is co-founder and first Lead surgeon of the OrthoPlastic Hand Unit at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, where his NHS practice is based. He is also Honorary Reader at the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine of King’s College London university.

Mr Garagnani’s research focuses on the development and adoption of innovative and minimally invasive techniques for increased safety in surgical and non-surgical hand and wrist treatment, and he has authored numerous peer reviewed publications/articles, regularly speaking at global conferences.

In 2022, he was awarded the Knighthood of the Order of the Star of Italy (OSI) in recognition both of his international surgical career, achievements and the coordination of a volunteers’ taskforce during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Who Can Attend: 

Registered dentists, dental therapists, dental hygienists, nurses, doctors and surgeons with up-to-date GDC, MNC or GMC registration and who have completed foundation botulinum toxin & filler training.

Certificates: 

Course delegates will receive an individual attendance certificate provided they reach the required standard by the end of the course

Terms and conditions

1. If paying by invoice: a deposit of 50% is required within 24 hours of booking to secure your place, and the remaining balance is required in full at least two weeks before the course date. (You are also welcome to pay in full upon booking if you so wish.) Details of how to pay are on your invoice, if we do not receive this your place will be cancelled. You can also pay online by credit/debit card.

2. All cancellations must be received in writing to carolyn@medicacpd.com. All cancellations will be acknowledged. 

3. Refund Policy: Less than 2 weeks before the course the full fee is due, regardless whether the delegate attends or not. We cannot change your course date. More than 2 weeks notice we will refund course fee, please note deposits are non-refundable. If paying by credit/debit card, the terms and conditions still apply.  

4. All delegates will receive confirmation of their booking and further information. If you have not heard from us 3 days before the course please email: carolyn@medicacpd.com 

5. When we receive your booking form or registration information over the phone, we take this as a confirmed booking. It is your responsibility to ensure we receive full payment. 

6. The vast majority of participants are deemed to be competent to gain their certificate. If the tutor feels you are not competent to practise by the end of the course, you will not receive your course certificate. To this end, we encourage you to read the full course details and programme before registering. If you choose to redo the course, the full course fee will be payable again. We also strongly recommend, after you complete the course, that you continue to keep up to date with training to further your knowledge and clinical skills - and that you also look into how to set up your aesthetic practice in advance of the course.

7. Due to circumstances out of our control, we reserve the right to change venue, trainers, programme and dates in the event of an emergency arising. Due to this, we encourage you not to book any travel arrangements until, at most, 4 weeks before any course date. We are not responsible for paying or reimbursing any costs related to course changes or cancellation. 

8. In order for us to order training stock for practical sessions, we require valid up to date UK registration. It is the responsibility of the delegate to ensure we receive valid UK registration at time of booking. If we do not have this information we are unable to take you on the course and cancellation and refund terms will still apply.
