This course will provide you with the knowledge and clinical skills to deliver tear trough treatment safely and effectively. You’ll gain an in depth understanding of the anatomy of the periorbital area, patient selection, how to recognise and treat complications and the practical skills you need to offer these treatments in your clinic.
Course Content
The course will be taught through a mix of presentation, tutor’s demo, and your own “hands on” practical working on a live model.
- Periorbital area ageing and anatomy.
- Typical patient, treatment areas and options.
- Who to refer for plastic surgery
- Product knowledge
- Consent, consultation, and managing your patient expectations
- Complications and their management and aftercare
- Pain management
- Injection technique
- Marketing these treatments in your practice
- Tutor’s demonstration
- Your ‘hands on’ practical under supervision
Entry Requirements
Registered medical professional with up to date registration with the GMC, GDC or NMC.
As this is an advanced course, you should be confident and demonstrate proficiency in foundation level Botox and fillers before taking this course and be willing to advance your clinical skills.
Your Course Tutor - Dr Heather Muir:
Dr Heather Muir BDS, MSc is one of the Uk' leading experts in non surgical facial aesthetics. She has 20 years experience, 7 solely aesthetics and now Teoxane’s country expert as well as being the owner of Your Face Aesthetics in Uddingston. Heather has achieved her master’s degree in non-surgical facial aesthetics for dentists, she is one of a very small number of dentists in the UK to have completed this MSc.
Heather is a KOL for Teoxane and regularly teaches facial aesthetic techniques to dentists, doctors and nurses at advanced level.

Model – You best to bring your own model for treatment.
If you have difficulty finding your own model, let us know asap and we can supply you with a suitable model for an admin £50 + vat.
