Foundation Botulinum Toxin & Dermal Filler
Our foundation training course is taught through a lively mix of online learning, multiple choice testing, demonstration, ‘hands on’ clinical training working on foundation level techniques with your tutor, followed by unlimited support & a full programme of professional development.
1) Online Theory Modules:
Our engaging online theory consists of 8 carefully curated learning modules designed to prepare you for your 'hands-on' clinical practice while offering essential business startup insights. Complete these modules at your own pace, from the comfort of your home.
Module Breakdown: (Normally it takes 6 – 8 hours to complete the pre course modules)
Within the modules there is access to a full set of demonstration and informational videos to enhance your learning experience.
2) Foundation Level Assessment:
To ensure you have a solid grasp of the course content, you will complete a mandatory multiple-choice test. This assessment is required prior to participating in the hands-on clinical session.
Certificates will only be awarded if you meet the standards required after the clinical day.
3) Full Day of Hands-On Clinical Experience:
Experience a full day of 'hands on' learning under the guidance of your expert tutor. In this immersive session, you will gain valuable hands-on experience with the following treatments:
An additional ‘hands on’ session for all Foundation Level delegates for £99 +VAT, plus a small product stock charge.
Courses take place at our 5-star educational facility, The Glen Clinic Rooms. Our spacious clinic rooms are Healthcare Improvement Scotland Registered and we also have a separate classroom for presentations.

Qualified medical professionals, dentists, dental hygienists, dental therapists, doctors, surgeons, nurses and clinical pharmacists can attend the Foundation course. You will be required to provide your professional registration number which will be checked upon booking.
Prior to your training course you will complete 8 online theory modules and a multiple choice test (6-8 hours approx.) to prepare you for the clinical 'hands on' session.
The practical day is 8 hours, covering the main learning points and working under the supervision of your expert tutor, you
will treat one model with Foundation clinical techniques.
Botulinum Toxin Injections: Techniques for treating peri-orbital areas (crow’s feet), frontalis (forehead lines), and glabellar (frown lines).
Dermal Fillers: Mastering techniques for enhancing lip definition and volume.
Yes, provided you have reached the standard to pass you should be able to practice right away. You will need to arrange your own medical aesthetic insurance for the first day you see a patient.
Many of our nurses are not prescribers when they attend the course. You do not need to be a prescriber. After the course we can provide you with our list of prescribers who can prescribe the botulinum toxin for you after a face-to-face
consultation with your patient(s).
Long term we suggest you undertake a V300 course to become your own prescriber, and we can help to provide you
information on this, and a V300 supervised placement.
You can pay through bank transfer or credit card at the time of booking.
Payment Plan - When booking online you can select to pay via PayPal, and you can pay in 3 easy instalments or
contact us to design a payment plan that suits you. When booking by PayPal, check you can see '3-in-1' payment as an
option to pay. If you don’t see this option, please contact PayPal directly, as this is subject to PayPal checks. If you wish

We require a deposit of 50% of the course fee within 24 hours or full payment unless you have selected to pay with a payment plan. Please also read our Terms and Conditions fully, displayed on our website homepage.
At the end of the course, provided you reach the required standard, you will gain a CPD certificate with learning hours. This qualifies you to carry out the treatments covered in the course. The certificate is recognised by Hamilton Fraser, Enhance Insurance, Cosmetic Insure and all other leading UK medical aesthetic insurance providers.
In order to provide you with the best teaching experience, we only ever teach in small groups, maximum 5 delegates per Foundation course.

Once we receive your booking and payment, you will be issued with details of how to access your pre-course learning materials, model information and further course information.

We only ever use the best products for training including Merz’s Bocoture for Botulinum Toxin and Teoxane’s RHA2 for dermal fillers. We talk about a whole range of products as well and you will receive product information including where to buy.
We recommend that you bring your own model to work on for the practical session, as you will be able to see the full effect of the treatment over time.
Your model will be able to receive both Botulinum Toxin and dermal filler treatment at no cost. If you can’t find your own model, we charge an admin fee of £80 +VAT to find you a suitable model. You must let us know 2 weeks before the course date if you require us to find a model for you.
Yes, we will provide you with ongoing support after the course for however long you need us. We also provide a full range of professional development courses and events as well.
