Platysmal Bands (Neck Rejuvenation)

Platysmal bands are the neck muscles that run vertically down your neck area – which become more prominent as you get older.

Sometimes, platysmal bands are described as causing a ‘turkey neck’ appearance.

We use botulinum toxin as a muscle relaxant, to reduce the pulling platysma muscle movement, which will then reduce the appearance of the bands.

Suitability Criteria

This treatment is suitable for models who:

Over 18 years of age
Suitable for treatment: visible vertical bands appearing on neck, can be made more prominent by flexing.
Are not currently on any contraindicated medications
Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
Has not had platysmal bands treatment in the last 3 months (or any botox treatment on the neck area)
Not scared of needles

Model Fee: £120 +VAT

Note: This is a discounted price as part of a training session carried out by an advanced medical aesthetics practitioner under medical supervision.

Duration Of Treatment

Estimated Time: Models are required for 2 hours.

Generally, treatments take around 2 hours. However, as it is a training course, there can be some waiting, so please bring reading material. Models are required to arrive 10 minutes before their appointment time.

All treatments will take place at Inspired Cosmetic Training at The Glen Clinic – unless advised otherwise.

All treatments are carried out by medical professionals, under trainer supervision. Demo model treatments will be carried out by one of our expert tutors.

Advice on downtime and aftercare will be issued to you on the course day.

Upon booking models are required to fill out electronic forms e.g. medical history, consent etc., as well as send in photos of the treatment area – this is to ensure all models are suitable and safe. A further consent form and treatment plan will be required to be completed on the training day.

Where Is The Clinic?

Courses take place at our 5-star educational facility, The Glen Clinic Rooms. Our spacious clinic rooms are Healthcare Improvement Scotland Registered and we also have a separate classroom for presentations.
