What Inspired You to Start In Medical Aesthetics?
After 35 years’ experience in nursing, including midwifery, (both in UK and Australia), offshore medic and nurse practitioner roles, I was at the stage of looking at what to do next – just something to keep me going until retirement. I saw aesthetics as a small sideline, I never imagined how much it would grow!
Tell Us About Your Medical Aesthetic Journey?
I initially did Foundation training in 2020, and then further developed my clinical skills and knowledge with Inspired Cosmetic Training through advanced training and business events. After training, with lots of encouragement, I set up my own aesthetic clinic, ‘The Face Place’ in Inverness.
What Has Helped Your Clinic Grow?
I’m truly blown away by how far it’s come! Part of the success has been down to a wonderful staff team and I recently brought on a business manager to help support its continued growth. We strive to be a great workplace where everyone is inspired to be the best they can be. Great customer care is a priority for us. We believe in nurturing a winning network of customers and referral sources.
What’s The One Piece of Advice You Would Give To Fellow Or Aspiring Entrepreneurs?
Get some really good training and support. The ongoing support from Inspired Cosmetic Training has played a key role in that journey, not just during my training, but beyond. Their guidance and encouragement gave me the confidence to build something.
