About our Tutors

Mr Taimur Shoaib, Consultant Plastic Surgeon

MB ChB, FRCSEd, DMI(RCSEd), MD, FRCS (Plast)

Taimur is an internationally recognised educator in medical aesthetics where he regularly teaches and trains doctors, surgeons, dentists and nurses to advanced level in cosmetic medical treatments and techniques and is known for his enthusiastic teaching style and ability to pass on his knowledge. He is a Faculty Member of the Allergan Medical Institute.

Formerly a consultant plastic surgeon in the NHS, he now works privately full time at Glasgow Nuffield private hospital and at his successful private practice - La Belle Forme Clinic (Glasgow, Edinburgh, London) where he is the founder and senior plastic surgeon and his special interests are in aesthetic medicine and surgery of the face, body and breast.

He is the chairman of the West of Scotland skin cancer and melanoma multi-disciplinary team and the chairman of the head and neck interest group of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.

He is an honorary senior clinical lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Glasgow and regularly teaches medical students and junior surgeons.


Tze Yean Kong

Mr Tze Yean Kong

Tze Yean Kong is a consultant plastic surgeon at La Belle Forme Clinic. He trained at the prestigious Canniesburn Plastic Surgery unit in Glasgow and is on the GMC Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery and holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, FRCS (Plast). He graduated from the renowned medical school of Trinity College Dublin, attaining Bachelors in Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynaecology with honours, and is a recipient of both a Bachelor and Master of Arts degree in Genetics.

With over 10 years of plastic surgery experience spanning six plastic surgery units in Ireland, England and Scotland (including working for NHS), Mr Kong has been comprehensively trained in the full spectrum of aesthetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery. His specialty interests include facial and breast aesthetic surgery. He is also the author of the second edition of the plastic surgery textbook, Key Clinical Topics in Plastic Surgery.


Dr Cormac Convery

Dr Cormac Convery

Dr Cormac Convery is Medical Director at the Bloomfield Clinic in Ayrshire. He also works in association with Beyond Medispa in Edinburgh and more recently the La Belle Forme group where he has the intention to establish and oversee research development.

Having completed the MSc course in Aesthetic Medicine at QMUL with Distinction, Dr Cormac continues his association with the university as an honorary faculty member.

He is an associate member of BCAM, trainer with Inspired Cosmetic Training, a regional trainer with Teoxane UK and a member of their Educational Steering Committee.

He is passionate about integrating education into career development with the broader aim of ensuring that Aesthetic Medicine blossoms as a medical sub-specialty

Dr Gill Fergus studied medicine at the University of Glasgow and went on to complete her GP training in Berkshire, working for the NHS and private practice. Gill has a great passion for aesthetic medicine and improving standards and has been practicing since 2008, including training and mentoring colleagues.

Laura assists Mr Taimur Shoaib in the practical “ hands on” teaching sessions and she has been a registered nurse for 14 years, she qualified in 2002 from Glasgow Caledonian University. After qualifying Laura worked at Glasgow Royal Infirmary for more than 10 years predominately in medical and surgical wards.

Laura began working as a cosmetic nurse in 2005 while continuing with her medical nursing work, and completed her cosmetic nurse training in 2008. She has concentrated solely on cosmetic nursing since 2010 and is also a prescribing nurse.

Prior to joining La Belle Forme, Laura was Lead Cosmetic Nurse at another cosmetic clinic. Laura is trained in advanced Botox® and dermal fillers, advanced laser treatments, PRP, Dermaroller®, body contouring and various other cosmetic treatment techniques.

Laura regularly attends conferences with the world’s leading cosmetic surgeons to keep up to date with the very latest advanced treatments.

Laura won best cosmetic nurse in Scotland at the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards 2015. She was finalist in the Best Cosmetic Nurse category at the 2015 Medical Cosmetic Awards and also Best Non-surgical Rejuvenation, an award she had been recommended for based on a scar treatment she had performed.


Norma Anis

Cosmetic nurse Norma Anis qualified in 2012 with a BSc in Mental Health Nursing from Glasgow Caledonian University. Norma assists Mr Taimur Shoaib in the practical “ hands on” teaching sessions for our foundation level courses.

Norma attended Mr Taimur Shoaib’s Botox and fillers course in January 2013 and decided to concentrate solely on cosmetic nursing shortly after.

Norma is trained in advanced Botox and dermal fillers, advanced laser treatments, PRP, Dermaroller, body contouring and various other specialised cosmetic treatments.

Norma is a member of the BACN and regularly attends conferences with the world’s leading cosmetic surgeons to keep up to date with the very latest advanced treatments.

Norma was a finalist at the 2015 Medical Aesthetic Awards in the best aesthetic nurse category.


Jennie Hawkins

Jennie Hawkins

RGN, INP (BSc. Professional Practice, Bach. Nursing, Dip. Communication Studies, Dip. Business Studies).

Jennie is an experienced specialist aesthetic nurse and runs her own aesthetic practice Etre Beau Facial Aesthetics. Graduating with a Bach of Nursing in 1997 and specialising in Acute Surgical Nursing (Burns & Plastics), Jennie has since attained a post graduate BSc Professional Practice in 2013 (Non-Medical Prescribing & Dermatology). She continues to develop her Aesthetic skills by attending Masterclasses with UK and Internationally with eminent Medical Aesthetics Leaders.

Jennie is a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, The Association of Scottish Aesthetic Practitioners and British Dermatological Nursing Group.  With a talent for mentoring and teaching, and driven by an appetite for learning, Jennie regularly teaches on Inspired Cosmetic Training courses for Foundation level Toxin and Dermal Filler courses guiding trainees through the “hands on” practical aspects of delivering botox and dermal fillers. Jennie is committed to providing patients with professional, ethical, evidence-based, effective, patient-led treatments and sharing her knowledge and experience of aesthetic practice with you.


Carolyn Fraser

MSc, BA, PG Diploma

Carolyn does all the course organisation and marketing for Inspired Cosmetic Training and Mr Taimur Shoaib provides the medical expertise and training. Previously Carolyn spent 15 years as the Continuing Professional Development Manager for the University of Glasgow College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences, where she was responsible for developing and managing over 350 high profile conferences, training courses and masterclasses throughout the UK.
